The below line graph depicts the comparison of how many books read between males and females at Burnaby Public Library from year 2011 to 2014.
Initially, in year 2011 approximately 3000 books were read by males, whereas in females it started with a number of 5000 books which illustrates that in the initial year more females were reading books compared to men with a difference of roughly 2000 books.
The year with a highest number of books read by both genders occurred in 2 different years. For females, the highest happened in the year 2013 with 10000 books read. However, in males it peaked in the year 2014 with 14000 books which clearly shows a significant increase especially in men.
As you can see, the below graph illustrates that from year 2011 to 2014, the number of books read each year by men were increasing while in women, though their figures were increasing as well until 2013 however, had significant decline in 2014 from 10000 books read to 8000.
