Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same products anywhere in the world.
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In modern era, countries are developing to be more identical altogether, which is due to the fact that same goods can be bought globally. In my opinion, I believe this is a beneficial trend. This essay will first discuss the benefit of having similar products leads to variation of prices, and secondly, people are more confident with the items that they know.

To begin with, when the same products appear frequently in market worldwide, the cost of the materials will have variations. This is because different countries have distinct currencies, such us USD, MYR, and RMB. For example, there is a corporation that sells shoes, namely Bringkhemstock, which specialises in slippers, has unsimilar prices in Malaysia and Taiwan, where in Taiwan, it is cheaper. Moreover, some goods may cause a competition between nations, and as the consequence, costs fluctuate, which often result in one to be less expensive and vice versa. Hence, having similar products can possibly vary in prices.

Another reason to consider is that people feel comfortable and safe when they can purchase the goods they know while travelling. Because the customers have already tried and known the product, they understand the quality and the usage of it. My sister, for instance, always visits the same store, which is an international one, such as 7-eleven or Watson, to buy the basic equipment when she goes oversea. Furthermore, she explained to me that buying the goods that are globally recognised is more secure because they are from a trusted company. Thus, by considering this factor, it provides safety and security for the purchasers.

In conclusion, having similar goods is many countries is a desirable advantage because it causes variation in the prices and helps buyers to consume the item that they want in foreign country.
