Some say that advertisements of toys and snacks have a huge impact on children and their parents, and therefore advertising to children should be banned. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Give your own opinion.
Although some people claimed that toys and snacks advertisements are influencing youngesters negatively, others support that adverts have been well established and considered as the backbone of any industry in our modern time. in this essay I will discuss the merits and demerits of advertisements and a reasoned opinion will be illustrated.
No body can minimize the effect of the huge amount of advertisements targeting children, such as toys, sweets and snacks. the producing companies are spending massive amount of their budget to release adverts and product campaign in television, newspapers and street banners with scenes that attract children. This is because they know that juveniles are eager to have new toys or want to taste any new snacks that looks amazing. For instance, most of the snacks contain artificial materials which are hazardous to human, which give the product a very pleasant shape and taste with bright colors. As a result, children will insist to buy it, however, their parents try to persuade them that these snacks are unhealthy. Consequently,this will put a high pressure on parents along their daytime. thus , it is clear from this example that the adverts has a negative effect on children and their families.
on the other hand, markets ,currently, display huge varieties of similar products coming from local and even international sellers. This will put the customer in an immense veiling to choose which could be better, safe and cost effective to be bought. Taking motorized car toys as an example, toy shop are offering an innumerable shapes and brands which are widely variable in their prices and qualities. Thus, I think that advertisements can be very helpful to make a decision before going to market, as you can know every thing about it either from a brochure, pamphlet or through internet with specific details about the material used in the desired toy and either it is safe for children or not.
In conclusion, nevertheless, there are some drawbacks from toys and snacks advertisements. In my opinion, I do not stand with the idea of banning it. I would recommend that, authorities should have a hand to manage the way and the type of products that released for children either playing products or small snacks.
