MORE HOUSES ARE NEEDED IN MANY COUNTRIES TO COPE WITH INCREASING POPULATIONS.WOULD IT BE BETTER TO BUILD HOUSES IN EXISTING TOWNS AND CITIES OR TO DEVELOP NEW TOWNS IN RURAL AREAS?

As people move from urban to rural area in search of better life, the quest for building more accommodation in the cities increases. Apart from the positive part of providing better housing for new immigrants, this trend is posed with so many drawbacks.

One of the disadvantages of adding new houses in the cities is that it encourages more people to live in the city hence more traffic problems on the road since these people will need a car to move from place to place. More so there is negligence of the rural area thereby focusing development only in central central area of the city. The cost of housing could also experience a hike because of increased demand.

However building these houses in the rural areas will bring better trend to this region. Firstly, more banks, hospitals and social amenities will be put in place at the rural areas and this benefits the older occupants of the villages or countryside. Also, there will be less crowding of people who will be going to the city for various activities. Building more houses in the rural area will help to create a new city in future

In conclusion there more benefits of building houses in the rural area in other to decongest the urban areas for efficient and expansible development in the total region hence improving life expectancy of both regions and decreasing crowding, pollution and easy resource for rural dwellers.

Hello!
Basically, a reasonable essay - vocab and grammar are good - but I think that the ideas are not very well developed. I also think that you could look at some other effects, such as reduced agricultural land, transport links between new and old cities, and the social effects of reduced migration to exiting cities.
All the best,
David
