Nowadays, we live in a world of roughly 10 billion people. This number is estimated to reach 10 billion by 2050. It is believed that the growing number of population is the main problem that faces the world today. This will be proven by analyzing the causes and the negative effects of this issue.
An important aspect that encouraged the growth of the population, is good healthcare conditions. Today many serious diseases had been treated and disappeared due to modern medicine. However, in the past, these diseases were very harmful and they killed thousands of people. Moreover, believes in different cultures, may also aid people to marry earlier and to have more children. As an example, in Islam, a Muslim man can marry 4 women and can have several children without no limit.
The outcome of the growth in population are all most negative, particularly in developing countries. It is obvious that growth leads to more demand in food supply, housing and energy, which conduce to poverty in case if the country in question is incapable to handle the matter. India can be the best example of that; a very populated country with a high rate of poverty. Moreover a huge number of people will impact more significantly the environment. Thus, all sorts of pollution can be occurred and harm the planet. From this it can be concluded that the growth of population is a very serious problem.
