Today more people are travelling than before.
Why is this the case?
What are the benefits of travelling for the traveler?

Well I was confused whether it shall be argument or discussion or a third type... finally just gave it a shot following the generic essay structure... What's your opinion on essay structure? Which one should be followed here?

Also please review the essay posted below.

Human beings have travelled since their earliest documented existence. We have been able to learn a lot about the past generations through the writings of these travelers. In the present times, more people travel because of development of means of transportation and availability of information. Both of these reasons shall be elaborated. Additionally, we shall analyze the benefits of travel to the traveler.

One of the reasons that more people travel is because people today have more options available to select from. Another reason is that information on travel destinations and the travel itself more readily available. Thus making travel a way more pleasant experience than it ever was.

There are multiple benefits of travelling to the traveler. One of those is that, by travelling, the traveler observes and learns from the different people he/she interacts with. Thus, leading to, increase in intellect level of the traveler. I can say this from my personal experience. Moreover, experiencing different faiths and vastness of Mother Nature, leads to one’s spiritual awakening. Having travelled across multiple countries like the United Kingdom, India, France, Germany and the United States, I can say that I have learnt how different people in different cultures behave differently. This has added to my personality and level of intellect.

To summarize I’d like to say advancement of technology and ready availability of information are fuelling the increase in number of people opting to travel. Also, as elaborated travel adds to the personality of the traveler and leads to increase in intellect level.

Hi sanskar,

My opinion:
To answer your question: The choice of discussion/Argument is best made by writing down the pros and cons to the second question on a list (The first question may be answered in the Introduction). if the list "hangs" to one side, you should prepare an argument essay. If the list looks balanced, I would go for a discussion essay. Since you are, and I agree, much concentrating on the pro side (Yes, Travelling is beneficial for the traveler), I would pick an argument essay.

To your essay itself:
I think you started off with a discussion (acc. to the intro) but end up in an argument essay, since I did not identify any arguments against the claim in the task.
(I would not dare to criticize your spelling, cohesiveness or coherence, since I don't have the knowledge and experience for that)
Maybe one thing:
I would suggest to add a final sentence indicating a perspective or recommendation

Hope this help

cheers
Stefan
