Post by Eli »

Nowadays it is easy to apply for and be given a credit card. However, some people experience problems when they are not be able to pay their debts back. In your opinion, do the advantages of credit cards outweigh the disadvantages?

It is true that obtaining a credit card has become easier than ever before in todays modernized world and this might cause many problems for people. I believe that there are more drawbacks than benefits.

There are several advantages of using credit cards, Firstly, it is considered a quick way of getting borrowed money from a bank through loan with an interest. For example, if a person who is in urgent need can access to enough money in a more convenient way. As well as,if you need to buy something expensive that you can not afford to pay for all at once, a credit card is ideal option. Secondly, after having such a card you can sure about your monthly statements. Credit card helps you keep track of your expenses and monitor them regularly. Finally, it is believed to be best way of protection of purchases. For instance, most credit card companies are handling disputes for you whenever a merchant do not takes back a defective product, you just need to check with your credit card company.

On the other hand there are more drawbacks of having credit cards. There is no doubt that they are main cause of debts. They are more likely encourage people to spend more money that people do not have. This case had led to many problems in terms of creating many addictive people on different products and things which are not needed. As a result, a number of borrowing users unable paying their debts back are on the increase. This, therefore, leaves the economy of country in worst conditions. Because, whenever people are not able to give loans with high interest back to a bank or any other financial institutions, as a whole economy suffer from these unexpected consequences. Apart from this, people are forced to be charged in order to pay money back and this in turn results in undesirable situations, such as homelessness, bankrupt, and sometimes prison sentences.

In conclusion, it seems to me that although there are some advantages of having credit cards, but, its drawbacks always outweigh benefits.
