Not exact words but something like that

Writing:

Task 1:

Situation: you are moving to new place and wanted a place to live

Write a letter to house agent,

Explain why and when to move?

where to move?

which accommodation?
,
Task 2:

Some people believes that older employees are useful for a company but other believes that modern younger employees are useful. Give your opinion

to what extent you agree or disagree?

Hi All,

I attended the GT exam today and I want to confirm in the reading section where the T/F/NG are given, Can I answer in the answer sheet as T/F/NG instead of full forms? Is there any problem for this? Appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Kalyan.

Hi Hello_Naveen,

I took my exam on 1 Nov too. Did you get these questions for your listening test?

- Listening:
1. Complaint about missing items when using removal service
2. Introduction about a pre-school
3. 2 students discussing about their common task
4. introduction about "modern technology" swimming pool

Can I check with you if you have put down books as one of your answers in Listening Task 1 with regards to the removal service?

Thanks and regards
Ylian

Hi Hello_Naveen,

Thanks for confirming the answer with me. Initially, I wrote "box" as my answer as I vividly recalled that the woman said box in the conversation but her pronunciation on box was not quite right either particularly after I re-read the sentence "containing _____". We can only fill in one word, which means book is more suitable.

The answer for question 1 is Testing and I didn't know the answer for questions 2 as I recalled I heard a dozen followed by something in the conversation but didn't realize it was the answer meant for questions 2. Anyway, I left it blank because I couldn't recall the answer later when the conversation started to talk about swimmers' issue.

Sorry I can't recall all the answers starting from question 27 to question 40 unless you tell me the questions and we can discuss the answers. In fact, I find these questions quite tough. Can you still remember the answer for one of the objective question asked in task 4 and it began like "What is the advantage of the new swimming pool" that comes with the modern technology?

A. Swimmers could rely less on coach to improve their training
B. Swimmers could be more focus on training
C.Swimmers could do more out of the pool training.

My answer for the above is A after listening to the conversation but I doubt it could be B too.

Thanks and regards

Hey, I did the ielts gt on Nov 1st in ireland...I had the same writing topics..task 1 was you are visiting another country, write to your friend to tell her your plans and ask about sightseeing.
Task 2, shopping was once just a way to get the things you need, now it is a form of entertainment. Is this a positive or negative development.

How did everyone find the listening? There were one or two questions I was unsure of.

Reading I thought was easy.

Any feedback on the same paper would be great.

I gave my test in London. The essays are the same even here.

Task 1. You are visiting another country on a holiday. Write a letter to your friend informing your travel plans, wht places you are planning to visit and ask information regarding sightseeing.

Task 2. Shopping has now turned into a form of entertainment. Why do you think this is happening. Is this a positive or negative development.

Speaking
1. Where do you currently stay.
2. Do you have any friends in the same area as yours
3. Do you like the location you are staying
4. Describe a park you frequently visit
5. Are there any leisure activities in the park
6. What improvements would you suggest to the park
7. Do you like street markets, why.

Sec II
Are you willing to learn any new language in the future. Why do you want to learn the language. How do you want to start working on it.
Do you have any friends speaking the same language.
Also, how important do you think language is important to understand a country's culture.

Sec III
Some questions I remember are
1. Is having a universal language important
2. Which languages do you see have the potential to become universal languages in future
3. Will your native language get influenced if you learn a new language

Thanks !
