Communication has always been an essential part of human lifestyle since the dawn of time. Even advancement in technology has broadened the way people interact with each other. It is agreed that face-to-face communication is better in comparison to other communicating methods, like via email and mobile phone. This will be proven by looking at how direct communicating process precursors to build up good relationships and is both effective and reliable means of transferring information.
Firstly, face-to-face communication acts as an avenue to establish good and healthy relationship. For example, if people have any misunderstanding with others, then the problem can be rectified by directly talking with the person, rather than sending email or calling them through other means. This can be easily seen in a person’s day-to-day life where an individual wants to maintain strong relationship with others by directly communicating. From this it is quite evident that face-to face communication holds merit.
Secondly, physical positions and facial expressions can convey more information than the words. Take physically impaired people as an instance. An individual who is deaf is unable to understand the context of other communicating people, but can easily understand mood and logic from expressions and hand movements. Therefore, it is clear that this skill is more reliable and effective.
