Task
We are becoming increasingly dependent on computers. They are used in business, hospitals and crime detection. What things they will be used for in the future. Is this dependence on computer a good thing or should we be more auspicious of their benefits?
Early Computers were large enough to occupied space of a single room. With the advent of silicon chip, size of computers gets shrinked which remarkably increases its portability. Since then, demand of computers has increased in every sphere of life including business, schools and even hospitals. It is now believed by majority that we are largely dependent on computers for carrying out routine tasks and this dependency will continue to increase in coming years. What change this reliance on computers would bring in our life is a question under debate.
By analyzing the increasing trend towards the use of computers, it is expected that computers will be going to take the place of car/train drivers in future. This means computers will be used to drive car/train. Another potential area where computers could possibly be found fruitful in future is for performing common house related tasks such as washing clothes and cleaning cooking utensils.
Use of computers has dramatically improved our style of working in recent years. With the help of computer and internet, we can now access huge data bank of information in few seconds. Dependency on computers is thought to be beneficial when one see a computer performing difficult task with such a precision in minimum time which would otherwise take hours to complete.
However, one should also be aware of negative aspects of heavily relying on computers. For example, malfunctioning of a system hard drive can possibly delay a complete project or virus in system can destroy complete data bank of information in blink of an eye.
After analyzing the pros and cons of relying on computers, it is concluded that use of computer has simplified our work and make our life easier, but too much dependence on it could sometime be proved as dangerous.
