You have seen an advertisement for a weekend work in a hotel in the town where you are staying. You have worked in a hotel before and think that the job would be suitable for you. You must apply in writing.
Write a letter to the hotel manager expressing your interest.
In your letter,
Introduce yourself
Explain why you think you would b suitable for the job
Ask what work you would be expected to do

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Durai, and I am writing in regards to the weekend job that you advertised on your website.

Basically, I am a student, who is studying at Latrobe University, looking for some evening or weekend work. I am pretty sure that I will be a suitable employee to your hotel. Please let me give the details of my work experience.

I have worked as a receptionist at ‘The Residency’, a 3 star hotel located in Wellington. To your utter surprise, I have around 8 years experience in the hospitality industry. Also, I worked as gaming staff at one of the bars in Melbourne for around 2 years.

As per the advertisement, I understand that the job involves processing of customer’s queries and complaints. Also, the worker needs to purchase the food products from distributors. Apart from the above, are there any other forms of duty involved in this job? I am looking forward for an interview call.

Please write to me as quickly as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Durai Sam

You could have structured it better, don't start a paragraph with the word 'Basically', you could put the first statement and second paragraph into one.

You are also assuming about the work, don't assume it until it is clearly stated.
