How to Improve Intonation?

Any suggestions on this?

I consider myself as having good command over grammar when I express myself in speaking. At least that is what most of the native speakers I have been lucky to have a chat with on Skype say. The area of improvement I am constantly suggested is the intonation. I also realize that my voice does not go up and down like it should. Its rather plain and dull. Now I have my exam coming on 10th of July. So I basically have a little over a month to work on this.

The only possible way to improve intonation I have come across are Youtube videos where you repeat what is being said in the video. Ryan also happens to have one such video on his channel.

How hard is intonation to improve? Is there any hope for me from a month's practice? I'm not thinking of coming close to the native level. Just enough to not sound dull in the exam.

Do you have any other suggestions to improve intonation? I have a lots of free time these days so I am open to experiment.
