City dwellers to not tend to develop close relationship with their neighbors. Why is this so and what can be done to improve contacts between neighbors within cities?


Neighbours play an essential role for living in a healthy society. however, with the changing time it can be seen that people are not much familiar with their neighbouring families.This common behavior among the people can be seen owing to certain aspects.

With the increasing trend of modernization peoples' lifestyles have undoubtedly being changes which tend people to indulge more in their work. Moreover, on weekends people prefers to spend time with their family and relatives, so there is no scope of giving time to neighbours on weekends as well. Thus, dramatics change in people's lifestyle is one of the major concerns of this change.

However, Certain collective measures can be taken between the neighbours to improve this situation. Firstly, both the neighbouring parties should spend some time for each other on weekends which will inevitably build up the bond between them.Secondly, regular social meet should be organized once a month which will afford a better a chance to understand each other's family and will provide them an opportunity to establish and maintain their relationship. For instance, kitty parties and family clubs are one of the best examples for maintaining relationships between near ones which can be seen in some rural areas. hence, pre-planned events can be fruitful to boast the interactions among the dwellers.
