People who live in the cities face a range of problems in daily life.
What are the problems face in city daily and what can be the solutions for them?

Nowadays, there is a trend towards urbanisation resulting in ever-increasing population in all the major cities. Consequently, such metropolitan cities have to tackle numerous issues on day to day basis. This essay will discuss some of these problems and their feasible solution.

First of all, one of the most usual difficulties faced by individuals in a metro is a frustrating amount of traffic during the rush hours. This is because, the present roadways are not developed in accordance with the increasing number of vehicles that add up daily on the highways: For example, roads in Mumbai city were not built to accommodate the present daily traffic of 500,000 vehicles. Secondly, with an addition of new families in already humongous population, an increase in waste material is beared by the municipal corporation: For instance, the Delhi municipal corporation has to deal with 1200 tonnes of waste per day which is on the rise. And lastly, with the increase in population, comes increment in demand of water as basic amenities.

These issues, though seem grave, can be dealt with combined government public partnership. To begin with, traffic can be reduced if government improve public transport and public favours the use of it. To illustrate, after improving local trains, majority of commuters are favouring them over taxis ameliorating the traffic in Mumbai. Moreover, waste material segregation awareness campaigns along with the provision of numerous waste bins will encourage the citizens to use them leading to a better disposal of waste. And finally, encouraging people to reduce water waste with the help of awareness programs can benefit all. Such as, government aided campaign for rainwater harvesting tanks over skyscrapers and reservoir construction being done in Chennai and other major cities.

In conclusion, although there is no sign of slowing in the growth of megacities and problems which comes with it. I believe, political will along with public awareness and determination to implement changes can be a welcoming solution to all these problems.
