In recent years, there has been a wide range of supporting schemes across borders to help those who are in need. This essay would discuss the pros and cons of both donor and acceptor countries.
Regarding of those countries, who wish to offer help to others, the advantages could be that once they are in suffering, others would support them back. For example, in 2000, Japan Government donated clothes and food to people in Thailand suffering from the tsunami, and in return, once Japan was hit by an earthquake, many of Thai citizens were not hesitated to send money to Japan. In the contrary, a few areas of the world are not ready to help and if they were forced to, as a consequence, this would cause troubles on both sides.
In terms of authorities, who receive helping stuff from others either directly or indirectly, they would be able to distribute these materials to save many lives. However, several problems might arise through this such as the lack of self-reliability, or else a corruption might be taken place in several under-developed parts of the world. To clarify, corruption would just make things worse. So as to ensure that this is for its own sake, the governments must examine all procedures as transparent as possible.
In a summary, while those who give might be able to develop great connections with others, they might face the shortage in their own countries as a result. Should receiver nations depend too much on supports from others, they would lack the ability to rely on themselves.
