The maps below illustrate how Frenton changed from 1990 to 2012
Answer:
The two maps given show the change occurred in Frenton in a period between year 1990 and 2012. It is clear that the town changed a lot during the 22 years period becoming less green and more built up.
To begin, the high street dividing the city into eastern and western divisions is still there with no change. To the east side of the high street, the theater was replaced by a cinema, to the south of it the shops that used to be there was replaced by a supermarket. The cafe and park that were to the east side of the high street now changed into a hotel and a golf course. To the far east of the town, where used to be houses, are now blocks of flats. A block of flats was also added just to the east side of the High street at the north end of the town.
When you look at the west side of the high street, you will find that the trees were removed to give place for a technopark. The hospital is still in the same place although it was expanded. West to the hospital, the restaurant now stands where there used to be a bank. The playing fields and the trees in the north were all removed to build blocks of flats. The school and the library remained the same.
