Q -The ownership of cars should be restricted to one per family in order to reduce traffic overcrowding and pollution. To what extent do you agree and disagree ?

The problem of traffic overcrowding and pollution has been increasing at an alarm rate since last few years all over the world. Thus, many experts come up with the solution that every family should be allowed to have only one vehicle, while many others assert that governments should consider other ways such as good public transportation and making flyovers and tunnels as and where possible. Following essay will discuss both the sides of arguments before drawing any final conclusion.

On the one hand, it is agreed that due to cut-throat competition in automobile sector, car prizes are affordable to most middle class families, as compared to only upper class families in previous decades. It is no surprise that because of that, more and more people prefers travelling by their own vehicles and therefore, adding into the traffic blogging and pollution problems. At peak times, one have to wait for hours in queue to clear the unwanted traffic jams created mostly by single riders. By considering above points, there is nothing wrong in permitting one car per family.

On the other hand, although argued, many people believe that lack of convenient public transport system force individuals to rely more on own vehicles. Additionally, government can think of building world class highways with more lanes, making of flyover bridges at the busy intersections, and creating underground tunnels as and where feasible. Furthermore, many big organizations and factories running in outskirts can run their own private buses and emphasis on using it in daily basis. Car pooling, sharing of one car by many others going to the same place and area, can be considered as one of the handy options to get rid of overcrowding and pollution.

From what has been discussed above, I tend to strongly agree that governments and administrators should have to work in making public transport system more powerful along with building over bridges, tunnels and bigger lanes highways as compared to focus barely on restricting vehicle ownership to per family.

Hello!

prizes - prices

traffic blogging?

Overall, some good ideas, but these are not really looked at in detail. In most cities, it has been proven that builidng more roads, bridges, tunnels, etc. does not reduce traffic jams. People simply think that they can buy more cars and the roads fill up.

Grammatical accuracy is quite good, but the range of structures is quite limited.

All the best,
