Some people believe that is impossible to help everyone around the world.That is why government should only focus on helping people of their own country.To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement


Assisting people is very important but at times not so easy as aid might not reach everyone who needs it. Some people are of the opinion that government should help only it’s citizens. This is true but to some extent government should offer the help it can to people when it seems necessary.

To begin with, thousands of people all over the world are in need of good job, better living condition as well as refuge in places devastated by war. The reason given above are why there has been an increased number of emigration to most western countries. For an instance currently the huge number of illegal immigrants from Syria to other western countries as refugees has been making the headlines since last year. This is as a result of war facing the country. Last year some of the countries like Britain has turned their back on helping these asylum seekers for a whole lot of reasons like foreseeing their inability to accommodate their needs as well as fear of harboring terrorist, a new trend which is eating up global security. This is why opinion has been raised as to why government should only focus on helping their own citizen to reduce immigration crisis.it is capital intensive to manage these loads of immigrant and also the help might not go rounds to all of them

However, asylum seeking might not be the only reason why people move from place to place. They can seek for a better paying job or education tourism among other reasons. In this vein, it becomes imperative for the government to help other countries citizen to develop their career. Even in severe cases of asylum seeking due to war, it is important that nations should offer help no matter what it will cost as enshrined it United Nations treaty and agreement. This will make sure that life is safe guarded no matter the reason of war or any other factor. In some countries they cannot but allow education and business tourism as it boost their economy as well as produce good students whom might be absorb in their working industry. For examples some brilliant postgraduates in the UK has ended up as paragons in the industrial sector. This was only possible because the country allowed them a visa to study previously.

In conclusion, it is not easy to offer all the assistance to the developing countries as the help might not be benefited by all who needs it. However in some cases it is very necessary to offer this help because the government is obliged to do so and also they might gain a lot from offering such assistance

Overall, a good essay. You have answered the question and provided good examples, particularly with mention of the UN treaty and the current Syrian refugee issue. The main problem, as far as I can see, is the fact that too many sentences are too long. This was a particular problem in the second main paragraph. Good vocabulary, clear organisation.
