The chart compares how many tourists in Japan tavelled abroad over a 10 year period and Australias share of marketing for Japanese tourists.
It can be clearly seen that there was upward trend in the number of tourists along the whole period shown. It is also noticeable that Australia witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of people who tended to travel to this country.
Between 1985 and 1989, Japanese people travelling abroad increased dramatically from around 5 million to approximately 11 million. After which, there was no remarkable change, just nearly 1 milllion growth during next three years. But,at the end of the period figures reached a peak of approximately 15 milllion, which was three times bigger than in 1985.
As regars Australia, the proportion of the people started at 2 million in 1985 and by 1987 it almost rose to 4 milllion which was twice as much as 1985.Duing the following four years, figures fluctuated around between 4 and 5 milllion and after 1991 they begun to went up steadily reaching to their peak level in1993.

It can be clearly seen that there was an upward trend in the number of tourists throughout the period shown. It is also clear that Australia witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of people who tended to travel to Japan (it's important to identify here - to rule out confusion).
Between 1985 and 1989, the number of Japanese people travelling abroad dramatically increased, going from around 5 million to approximately 11 million. After this, the trend suddenly slowed down, with a growth of just 1 million visitors for the next three years. However, at the end of the period (you should state the year here to back up your statement), the figures peaked at approximately 15 million - three times bigger than what was seen in 1985.
As regars (what does this word mean? Is it a misspelling?) Australia, the amount of the <<<(remove the 'the' people stood at 2 million in 1985. But by 1987, the figure had rose to almost 4 million - the figure had doubled in just two years. During the following four years, figures fluctuated between 4 million and 5 million, and after 1991 the number of visitors increased steadily reaching a peak of (how much?) in 1993.
