Hi David,
I am Chirag and am aiming Canada Express Entry. I gave my IELTS exam recently (in fact on 26 Sep) and have got 7.5 Overall. My individual scores are :-
L- 8.5
S - 7
R - 7
W - 6.5
Had I got 7 Bands in Writing, I would have achieved CLB 9 level with an increased CRS score. But I fall short for half Band. Now is it a good idea to re-assess my writing score or shall I re-appear in IELTS exam ?
Please reply asap.
does re-assessment helps
Re: does re-assessment helps
Dear Chirag
You must apply by 7 November if you want to query your score. Occasionally papers are remarked upwards, but you need to be really confident your mark should be higher before you request an enquiry on results. It is expensive (£60), takes 6-8 weeks for the answer, and often results in no change to the score. If you only hope to get a higher score, your time and money would be better sent practising, then taking another exam.
Kind regards
Teacher Jill
