The bar chart shows the information about the favorite subjects of 60 students from two schools, school A and school B.

The bar chart gives information about what subjects 60 students from 2 schools like best. These subjects include social science, science, language, craft/drawing, sport. It is obvious that there are differences in preferences of subjects among theses students of 2 different schools.

A brief survey of the chart reveals that there are more students from school B than school A whose favorite subjects are social science, language, craft/drawing. While the gap in the number of students recorded concerning social science is not big, the numbers of school B students selecting language and craft/drawing as their favorite are respectively 18 and 25, far exceeding those from school A.

By contrast, when it comes to science and sport, more students from school A consider them as their favorite subjects, as 9 like science best and 36 enjoy sport the most, many times as many as those from school B.

In conclusion, students’ favorite subjects vary between school A and B. Those from school A tend to enjoy science and sport better.

Many people are afraid to leave their homes because of their fear of crime. Some people believe that more actions should be taken to prevent crime, but others feel that little can be done. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays a lot of people are inclined to remain indoor because there are criminals in the streets. While some people believe that crime could be fought against and prevented, others say crime is inevitable. Both views can be justified with reasons.

It is understandable that many people fear the potential danger lurking in the streets, especially in large metropolitan areas where robbers and thieves are rampant. For example, in big cities like New York, reports of robbery, theft, rape, etc, can often be found on the news. Unfortunately, in reality there is no spider-man to help us. Even though the United States does not lack police officers, crime could never be avoided or eliminated. This explains why many people are pessimistic about their safety when they go outside.

However, there are still many who have not lost hope, believing that crime can be stopped through actions. Indeed, to put an end to criminal activities, causes for crime must be understood first. Many people choose to rob, steal, or even murder due to poverty and lack of education. Therefore, the government should promote social justice and try to wipe out poverty by helping those in the slums. At the same time, schools should assume greater responsibilities, and aid those in need.

In conclusion, people have plausible reasons for their fear of the streets. But there are still solutions to help reduce, if not erase, crime.
