Re: 12 September IELTS Answers
dude answer was 39000 not 1.9 and already Km2 was written in the question. So you only have to write the number and that is 39000. As 1.9 was the total area but she said about the map, and it was 39000.

So, the right answer should be 1.9?roopksharma wrote:dude answer was 39000 not 1.9 and already Km2 was written in the question. So you only have to write the number and that is 39000. As 1.9 was the total area but she said about the map, and it was 39000.
39000 was given on the sheet? I do not remember anything to be typed in.
roopksharma, what about the name of the newspaper of magazine in 10th question?
County vs Country?

My answer to the 1st question was hyphenated too.. but my spouse, who had taken the same exam that day said it should not be hyphenated.. now I worry that I could lose mark on this.. Any inputs from former IELTS examiner? My thoughts about answering the Listening module were to answer all in capital letters (to be safe), spelling should be correct and put hyphen if necessary..
I have heard most of the answers but the problem was I got confused with the hypen thing ..It was my first time to take the exam. I got usually 5-6 mistakes during mock tests but now due to the above, I'm screwed..

Dear Mann. It wasn't 1.9 million. It was near 39000. Since 1.9mil is the total area of Brazil and the question was regarding the area of taccanacuma national park.

The reading passage was from this article:
The Economist
The science of shopping
The way the brain buys
Dec 18th 2008 | basingstoke, england
Some might remember the questions and the answers.
Fill in the gaps (some answers but not in order):
Decompression zone
shoplifting
fruits
bakery
something about aroma or smell of coconut (cant remember)
Matching type
Rajeev Sharma- shoppers already know what they want to buy at the Store.
Cassie Mogilner- items are easily found if arranged according to category
Scott Bearse- shoppers that are presented with several items but left without buying at all
Akshay Rao- use of a third item as a "decoy" can work in selling
Dr Spangenberg - if the customer feels psychological methods are being used to them can cause them to be angry and end up not buying at all..
Correct me if I'm wrong

I also think GT was tough as compare to last year Exam.
Few doubts
1.) In listening 1st answer NORTH EAST without hyphen will be counted correct or not ?
2.) In section 3(Brazil Rain Forest Map) one question where ------- Grow. I have given answer MEDICINAL PLANTS. Is it correct some member posted it "MEDICINE" was right answer.
3.) Any person remember college course details section answer I think it was really tough and discussion was very fast.
Any comment guys ?
