Q.3.

Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sport facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Globally, health has been considered as the key factor of human life. Basically, people have been adopting numerous methods to be healthy, and create a friendly atmosphere around their surroundings. Some people reckon that constituting various sport facilities will be fundamental to employ healthy habits on public, while others assume that this approach is inferior, and other alternative steps should be applied. This contentious topic will be analyzed prior to drawing a reasonable conclusion.

Firstly, it is felt by many that commencing various physical activities, namely sport, is the optimal approach to fortify the public health. To exemplify, a health survey carryout on school children in Nepal, especially in Pokhara and Kathmandu, insists that those students who avoid sport activities used to have more sick leave than the others. What this means is that if local people are involved in sport, they will undoubtedly combat with diseases, and sustain satisfying health. Consequently, this theory is difficult to debunk.

On the contrary, other groups around the world have ascertained that involvement in sport will have minor impact on public health. So, the local people should be enlightened through the proper knowledge about diet and nutrition. The millions of people educated by the fact that only plant-based foods are beneficial for human health suggested by a book, The China Study: the most comprehensive research ever conducted on nutrition and diet, will embody the above idea perfectly. Therefore, when people have information about the food intake, it will definitely catalyze good health. In light of this, it is obvious that why this argument has garnered a lot of support.

After evaluating these two points of view, it is believed that public health can be aggrandized through education. It is thus recommended that every community should gain proper knowledge and understanding about health, in order to create a healthy environment.
