Hello guys. I'm preparing for a Nation English Exam Competition for high school students in Vietnam.

WHEN A COUNTRY DEVELOPS ITS TECHNOLOGY, THE TRADITIONAL SKILLS AND WAYS OF LIFE DIE OUT. IT IS POINTLESS TO TRY AND KEEP THEM ALIVE. TO WHAT EXTENT DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE?
- The advent of technology has significantly revolutionized our contemporary world, yet at the expense of time-honored skills and people's lifestyles. Some argue that the government should not make an attempt to preserve those things of the past. I take notion with this notion, for there are reasons given as follows.

The first point to consider is that, admittedly, state-of-the-art devices are seemingly efficient and accurate. Nevertheless, they can, in effect, hardly handle sophisticated task which requires one's proficiency. A vivid example is handicraft. Additionally, it might be true that with the mainstream production and prevalence of peer products technology brings about, there are likely to be a deterioration in the authenticity and uniqueness.

The conventional skills and ways of life are, indeed, of great importance. One's country cultural norms acts as an indication of its identity and distinctive characteristics, as well as a reminder of the past. Consequently, individuals may have favourable conditions to develop and nurture their sense of patriotism of their homeland. While it is not an exaggeration to say that these are an invaluable historical features, one's culture might further foster the development of tourism, thereby facilitating the infrastructure and flow of money to the citizens.

To reiterate, far from being valueless, the traditional skills and ways of life will never cease to vanish, as they still remain an integral part of any communities. Much needs to be done by the government to preserve those historical values for the sake of the present generations and the generations to come.

COMPLETING UNIVERSITY IS THOUGHT BY SOME TO BE THE BEST WAY TO GET A GOOD JOB. ONE THE OTHER HAND, OTHER THINK THAT GETTING EXPERIENCE AND DEVELOPING SOFT SKILLS IS MORE IMPORTANT.
DISCUSS BOTH SIDES AND GIVE YOUR OPINION.
- Cut-throat competition in the employment sector is marked as one of the prominent hallmarks of the society in this day and age. For some, it is crucial to finish tertiary education in order to land decent jobs. Others, however, harbour the view that practical knowledge and interpersonal skills should take precedence. This essay will investigate both points of view, as follows by my opinion.

It is true that graduates from university are equipped with an abundance of knowledge and training. However, it should not be forgotten that most of these knowledge and skills are academic and theoretical, rather than practical. In addition, granted that the emphasis of employers are placed on having a university degree, there would be a myriad of issues that ensue. Vivid illustrations of this are false degrees and rote learning.

On the other hand, many people believe that with regard to getting a desirable position in the job market, accumulating experience and honing soft skills are of a greater priority. The beauty of this side is that graduates show an inclination to be more well-rounded and versatile. Students, more importantly, have favorable conditions to bolster their interaction and cooperation with each other, as well as accruing a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, which are demanded by a majority of companies nowadays. That is to say, as for employment, one should meet a wide range of standard and characteristic, that having a university degree can hardly provide.

To reiterate, while completing university equips graduates with academic knowledge, there are several drawbacks. To secure a preferable job, only exposing to a great deal of practical experience and interpersonal skills may soon-to-be job seekers realize their ambitions.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY?
-The advent of technology has certainly revolutionized our ways of living in this day and age. There is a significant increase in the number of people suffering from a wide variety of health problems, ranging from obesity, alcohol abuse as well as stress. It is, therefore, vital that we take some measures in order to lay the foundation for a healthy life style for this generation, and set a pattern for the generations to come.

It should be first noted that routines which are detrimental to our health need to be wiped out completely in one’s life. Those habits, including eating disorder, drug abusing, drinking alcohol, to mention but a few, needless to say, they induce various drawbacks regarding one’s health. Moreover, the increasing work reduction nowadays put employees under enormous pressure. As a consequence, they fall prey to work stress, anxiety and and nervousness. In combating these detrimental effect, from my perspective, it would be viable to phase in more sport activities among staff, thereby easing off their worries and foster their cooperation and interpersonal skills.

On the other hand, partaking in sport-related activities is likely to give favorable conditions for one to be in good shape. It has been proven scientifically that regular exercise is a weapon against illness and aging. In practicing a fit lifestyle, working out in gyms or doing morning exercises are affordable to merely anyone. To add to it, while driving car or other public transports are apt to make us inactive, cycling to work would be an ideal alternative. Not only would it make us more vigorous and energetic but also reduce the amount of air pollution. Last but not least, raising people’s awareness about the important of a fit lifestyle should be the top priority. If they become more conscious of their own health, they will be likely to practize a healthy way of living for its own sake.

In brief, in order to promote a fitter lifestyle, measures should be taken simultaneously. One’s health is invaluable.
