Question: When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Answer:
Actually, the discussion that the conventional skills and ways of life extinct when a country advances in technology is a debatable one. Also, it is not true that keeping them alive is meaningless.

Technological advancement has made the lives of people easier than it was over hundreds of years ago. Technology has emerged is every sector of our lives. It has impact on communication, lifestyle, social status or other sectors of our daily life as well. Over twenty years ago people were used to write letters or send fax to communicate with each other. Mobile phones and email have made those systems dead. Online shopping is increasingly becoming popular than the conventional shopping in the market.

In this digital era money has been changed from a paper with printed value on it to credit card. Maximum transactions are being done using credit cards, mobile banking or internet banking. In music, we were used to listen the real voice of a singer in a radio when we were in childhood while now the voice of a singer is modified using various softwares.

Technological advancement is indispensable because it not only is the primary condition for modernization of a country but also makes our lives easier to live. But we should be careful so that this development does not make our own identity or culture extinct from our lives. Physically visiting each other to communicate may be the primary mode of communication instead of using social networking sites or mobile phones. Also, sometimes we can write letter to conserve this convention. Different kinds of plays such as Kabadi, Football, Running must be played instead of playing various computer games.

To conclude I would say that the conventions or traditional skills are the root of a nation. These must be protected for the identity of the nation. Technology must not take place over it.
