This is the task 1 of my writing.

The table illustrates the number of prisoners in thousands from 1930 to 1980 in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, The United States and Canada.
On the first three decades, Great Britain showed the least number of prisoners with only around 30,000 in 1930 and elevated slightly to 40,000 in 1950. Furthermore, the United States registered the highest number of people behind bars on 1940 with approximately 130,000 while Canada 1930 recorded 120,000 prisoners in 1930 with slight decrease by around 10,000 in 1940. Australia and New Zealand also had a high number of imprisoned people in 1930 which estimates at 70,000 and 100,000, respectively. These figures declined to less than 60,000 on 1940 and 1950.
On the last three decades, the United States topped the list of greatest number of prisoners from almost 120,000 in 1960 to a whopping increase to approximately 130,000 in 1980. Moreover, Canada bagged the second place of having the highest number with prisoners not reaching below 80,000. Lastly, all the remaining three countries have also elevated figures for the last 30 years with Australia only gave a plummeted number to around 50,000 in 1980.
