Many people believe that it is important to always tell the truth. In your opinion, is it ever acceptable to tell a lie?

Post by caner »

I, as an individual, always tell the truth, and being honest, is my priority in most cases. In my opinion, telling a lie may lead us to lose our friends and reputation, more importantly, our life.

In today's world, most people are used to tell a lie, and they have to struggle with their hard situations all the time. Because telling a lie can put someone through lots of challenging situations, and while facing reality, it may be too late for everything. I recommend people to speak the truth, no matter how hard it is. To start keeping the fact as a secret, make people tell excuses not to reveal the truth. In the end, they get into a tight corner and speak reality. What happens then, they gain a bad reputation and lose people's trust around them. In most countries, telling lies is accepted as a crime, and the person who is responsible for the infidelity may get severe punishments.

From now on, people, due to their bad behavior, have to prove themselves that they are right for every situation they are involved in to gain trust again. Namely, people have to carry ''this burden'' throughout their life.

As I mentioned above that telling a lie can make a good patch for a short moment. But eventually, unveiling truth can be inevitable, and there may be no way to clean the mess.

Thanks for your submission caner!! Please see my rewrite below ... :ugeek:

INTRO:
As an individual, I always BELIEVE IN tellING the truth, and I PRIORITISE being honest in most cases. In my opinion, telling a lie may lead TO us losING our friends and reputation, OR EVEN our life.

B1:
In today's world, most people are used to tellING lieS, and they have to struggle with the hard situations THAT TELLING LIES CREATES FOR THEM. THE T REASON IS THAT telling a lie can ADD MANY challenging situations TO A PERSON'S ALREADY DIFFICULT LIFE, and THIS reality MAY BE WHAT MAKES IT TOO DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO DEAL WITH everything. I recommend THAT people speak the truth, no matter how hard it is. ONCE SOMEONES startS keeping secretS, THEY ALSO HAVE TO START tellING excuses TO THEMSELVES WHY THEY DO not reveal the truth. In the end, they get into a tight corner and ARE FORCED TO TELL THE TRUTH TO EVERYONE. What happens NEXT IS THAT they gain a bad reputation and lose THE TRUST OF THE PEOPLE around them. In MANY countries, telling lies is accepted as a crime, and the person who is responsible for the UNTRUTHFULNESS may get A severe punishment.

B2:
From THAT TIME ON, THE people THAT WERE ENGAGED IN THE BAD BEHAVIOUR have to prove TO EVERYONE that they are BEING TRUTHFUL IN every situation they are involved in ORDER to gain trust again. Namely, people have to carry 'this HEAVY "burden'' FOR THE REST OF their life.

CONC:
As I mentioned above, telling a lie can make LIFE EASY FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, but eventually, THEY WILL BE FORCED TO UNVEIL THE TRUTH, and there may be no way to clean UP the RESULTING mess.

Advice:
1. The structure of this essay is a little hard to understand. Is there on large body and one small body? Or should B1 and B2 be together as one paragraph??
2. Try not to use the prononun "I" at the ead of a sentence. make it a little more discreet by putting it after a phrase like "As an individual" or "Individiually, ..".
3. Don't use "that" directly after a lining phrase (As I mentioned above that). "That" should be used directly after a noun in a relative clause (As I mentioned above, the fact that ....)
